Why is this interesting?


When a user wants to have access to geographic information or the services that use it, he might find a chaotic situation if he doesn't know where to find it. In an administration or company, the situation is also very complex because of the great number of contacts needed in order to obtain this data and the licenses to use them.

In an SDI environment everything is easier. Thanks to data and geo-services compilation, and through the catalogue servers, the users can find and gain access to the existing geographic information and geo-services.
